Account info: your name, email, and password (hashed).
Profile info: graduation year, high school, state, intended major, target schools, and optional test scores you choose to enter.
Application data: tasks, essays, notes, deadlines, and reminders you create in the app.
Usage data: basic analytics like pages visited and features used, to improve the product.
Payment info: handled by our payment provider — we never see or store full card numbers.

2. How we use your information

To provide the Service — your dashboard, deadlines, and reminders.
To match you with relevant scholarships.
To send account and product notifications.
To improve The College Tracker and prevent abuse.

3. What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your essays or profile data with colleges or third parties for advertising.

4. Third-party services

We use trusted providers for hosting, authentication, payments, and analytics. Each provider only accesses the data they need to perform their function.

5. Data security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, and standard access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

6. Your choices

Update or delete your profile at any time from your settings.
Export a copy of your data by emailing us.
Delete your account at any time; we'll remove your data within 30 days.

7. Children

The College Tracker is intended for users 13 and older. If you're under 18, please use it with a parent or guardian.

8. Changes

We'll notify you of material changes to this policy through the app or by email.
